Palm Beach, Gold Coast
Palm Beach is a little suburb on the Gold Coast, just south of Burleigh and just north of Currumbin.
With a beach featuring the whitest of white sand (named Queensland's cleanest beach three times in fact!), the once sleepy town seems to have recently awoken from its slumber, and now delivers a handful of great new restaurants, bars and cafes.
It's so easy to spend a weekend in Palm Beach mixing up time between relaxing at the beach and eating and drinking til your hearts content.
Here are the best eat and drink spots in Palm Beach ...
Mr Bengel - They opened in March 2017 and make a killer coffee and offer nice, simple food for breakfast and lunch. Their decor features lots of white and their distinct, happy blue logo.
The Collective - Home to five different restaurants housed within one large tropical space, with a courtyard and rooftop: Luckies Diner, The Kitchen, Calavera, Umami and The Italian Job. Check out this great virtual tour of the venue here.
Burgster - Serves up, you guessed it, burgers. Really good burgers. They use the finest ingredients possible, all sourced locally. The place is casually cool and decked out nautical and rustic. Plus they can mix up a mean drink.
Balboa Italian - Offers delicious Italian cuisine for lunch and dinner, international wines and knock-your-socks-off cocktails, all within a beautiful brick building with an eclectic mix of furnishings.
Wildernis - Dishes up a bit of everything for breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus they have a great selection of beers, wines and cocktails. The upstairs bar area features white walls and blue mosaic tiles.
8th Ave. Terrace - Offers up a diverse menu for lunch and dinner that transcends many cuisines. The venue itself is lucky enough to have beach glimpses.
Lester & Earl - Beach views, American BBQ food, every drink you can think of, and great atmosphere to boot.
